Bush Fire Danger Period

extends from 1st August  to 31st  March each year.

Ring 000 to report any fires.

Contact details for individual NSW Rural Fire Service Brigades are available from the Fire Control Centre listed below.

Permits to burn are required during the Bush Fire Danger Period or at any time of the year where a fire might endanger a building.

Landowners intending to use fire as a management tool have a responsibility to notify adjacent landowners and the NSW RFS 24 hours before burning. Landowners are also required to ensure that the conditions of any approvals are complied with and the fire remains under control and within the boundaries of their property.
