A New Development Strategy for the New England Strategic Alliance-Issues and Options- First Round PublicEngagement
Through funding provided by the State Government, the four Councils of the New England Strategic Alliance (Armidale-Dumaresq, Guyra, Uralla and Walcha) are preparing a new Development Strategy and Local Environmental Plan for the area.
As part of this process Planning Workshop Australia, in conjunction with Wakefield Planning, are carrying out a strategic review of issues for land use planning in the Alliance area. This review has resulted in a range of draft options being developed for public comment. These options respond to the key planning issues in the area.
The draft options that may be available in relation to the key planning issues focus on the scope of Local Environmental Plan provisions, and also respond to discussions and comments by the Councils' Project Working Group and State agencies.
