Uralla Shire's new library is now completed and was officially opened on 3rd September.
Uralla Shire's new library is now completed and was offically opened on 3rd September.
The new library will be called the Uralla Shire Library. It will have brand new state of the art technology.
New book return technology has been purchased so that books can be returned 24 hours a day and will help prevent vandalism. The new book return scans the barcode of a book before it will open the return slot; this means that it cannot be used as a rubbish bin for people passing by.
Users of the library have access to computers, the internet, fax machines and photo copiers.
The opening hours are:
Monday - 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Tuesday - 10:00am to 4:00pm
Wednesday - 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Thursday - 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Friday - 10:00am to noon, 2:00pm to 6:00pm
Saturday - 9:30am to 12:30pm
Sunday - Closed
The total hours equaling 30 hours.
