Township Marketing Plan Workshop
Uralla Shire Council will be hosting a workshop on Tuesday, 31st May 2005 on the Uralla Township Marketing Plan
As you may be aware Uralla Shire Council together with the NSW Department of State & Regional Development funded the Main Street / Small Towns Project in Uralla. A number of activities have been undertaken as part of the project including the Business Retention & Expansion Program (BREP) Survey as well as a series of business, project and working group meetings.
As part of the MSST Project, Uralla Shire Council engaged Hailey Enterprises Pty Ltd to undertake an audit of Uralla and to develop the Uralla Township Marketing Plan. There are a number of strategies and projects within the Township Marketing Plan document that have been recommended for Uralla.
I would like to encourage you to read the Uralla TMP which can be downloaded as a PDF document from the following websites:

Alternatively, if you do not have access to the Internet you may view the document online at the Uralla Community Technology Centre (CTC) located at the corner of Bridge & King Streets Uralla or you may pick up a hard copy from Uralla Shire Council Chambers.

On Tuesday, 31st May 2005 Uralla Shire Council will be hosting the Uralla Township Marketing Plan Workshop which will be facilitated by Linda Hailey, author of the Uralla TMP. Council has invited over forty representatives of business, government and community organisations to the workshop. A full list of organisations attending the workshop will be published on the websites listed above after 20th May 2005.
The aim of the workshop will be to prioritise the recommendations from the group's perspective, identify resource and cost requirements and consider who will fund projects. We will then develop an action plan using a Gant Chart to identify the action steps, person or people responsible and the time frame for completing the tasks.
The list of invitees has been developed to allow the best overall representation of the community. Although we would like to invite the entire community to the workshop, this is just not possible. I would welcome any constructive comments on the TMP to be addressed to the General Manager as mentioned above or you may wish to discuss your preferred strategies or projects with any of the participants who will be attending the workshop. The full list of participants will be published on the above websites after the 20th May 2005.
Following the Uralla TMP Workshop, Uralla Shire Council will assess the preferred strategies and projects with the view that they will be implemented subject to availability of project resources. Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to email or contact me.
