Code of Conduct - Published: 19 Aug 2009
The Model Code of Conduct for Local Councils in NSW ("the Model Code of Conduct") is made for the purposes of section 440 of the Local Government Act 1993 ("the Act").

Section 440 of the Act requires every Council to adopt a code of conduct that incorporates the provisions of the Model Code. For the purposes of section 440 of the Act, the Model Code of Conduct comprises all Parts of this document.

The Code is made in three Parts: Context, Standards of Conduct and Procedures.

Uralla Shire Council's Code of Conduct was adopted under Resolution Number 178/09 of 25 May 2009.

NESAC Safety Management System - Published: 17 Mar 2009

The implementation of a formal Safety Management System will assist New England Strategic Alliance of Councils (NESAC) to continually improve the overall standard of Workplace Occupational Health and Safety for all Council personnel, contractors and visitors to the workplace. The NESAC Safety Management System will be upgraded continually as changes to the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation, Codes, Standards and Council Policy and Procedures occur. The manual should be used as a guide in working safely in your work place and in making the facilities used by members of the public and visitors to the workplace safe.

Uralla Shire Council Operating Policies - Published: 26 Nov 2008
Uralla Shire Council's existing Operating Policies were adopted in August 2008. Council has recently reviewed all its Operating Policies and modifications have been made to a number of policies to meet current requirements by a Councillor Workshop held on Tuesday, 1 September 2009.

The Operating Policies, both amended and continuing, have been adopted for the purpose of public submission.

Written submissions will be received, addressed to the General Manager, PO Box 106, Uralla NSW 2358, up until 28 September 2009, prior to their consideration for final adoption at Council's meeting of Monday, 28 September 2009.
