Uralla Township Marketing Plan Workshop

Uralla Shire Council hosted workshops on Monday, 20th June and Tuesday, 21st June 2005 on the Uralla Township Marketing Plan
As you may be aware Uralla Shire Council together with the NSW Department of State & Regional Development funded the Main Street / Small Towns Project in Uralla. A number of activities have been undertaken as part of the project including the Business Retention & Expansion Program (BREP) Survey as well as a series of business, project and working group meetings. As part of the MSST Project, Uralla Shire Council engaged Hailey Enterprises Pty Ltd to undertake an audit of Uralla and to develop the Uralla Township Marketing Plan. There are a number of strategies and projects within the Township Marketing Plan document that have been recommended for Uralla. I would like to encourage you to read the Uralla TMP which can be downloaded as a PDF document from the following websites: www.uralla.nsw.gov.au www.uralla.com Alternatively, if you do not have access to the Internet you may view the document online at the Uralla Community Technology Centre (CTC) located at the corner of Bridge & King Streets Uralla or you may pick up a hard copy from Uralla Shire Council Chambers. As a business owner, I would appreciate any constructive suggestions or comments that you may have in relation to the recommended strategies and projects which have been outlined in the Uralla TMP. Please email (council@uralla.nsw.gov.au) or write your comments to: The General Manager Uralla Shire Council PO Box 106 Uralla NSW 2358 The aim of the workshop was to prioritise the recommendations from the group's perspective, identify resource and cost requirements and consider who will fund projects. We then developed an action plan using a Gant Chart to identify the action steps, person or people responsible and the time frame for completing the tasks. Preferred strategies and projects will now be assessed with the view that they will be implemented subject to availability of project resources.
